Fraud Worth 10 lakh Surfaces in Bandipora Hospital | KNO

Bandipora (KNO) : As per Inquiry Committee which was Constituted DC Bandipora A Fraud Worth 10 Lakh has surfaced and came in fore in district Hospital bandipora following complaints. The Committee was Constituted two months back in order to look into the mismanagement of funds meant for bloodbank and purchase of equipment in the hospital. Report said the then MLC Nayeem Akhtar has sanctioned 10 rupees for the establishment of a blood bank in district hospital Bandipora but after sanctioning the 10 lakhs for establishing a blood bank. It has been revealed that the same amount has not been used properly in maintaing of a blood bank.

 

 

According to ACR Bandipora Masrat Hashim who was heading the committee and submitted the report; in the year 2015, 10 lakh rupees were released for establishing blood storage unit and purchase of equipments, but it is to be said that despite every penny released, nothing has been done. Due to Non availability of Blood storage, patients causing great Inconvinence and are being reffered to Srinagar often. It is to be said that the then BMO Bandipora is said to be involved in the misappropriation of funds as inquiry reports reads that Haematology Analyser purchased on his recommendations. When Contacted Masrat Hashim ACR Bandipora he said, I have submitted the report to DC bandipora, He will submit the said report before the director health services Kashmir. Earlier media had exposed another scandal in which salary was withdrawn illegally and said BMO was also involved and other two officials but nothing was done till date as they are enjoying patronage of higher officials. People have raised eye brows against the Health officials for their huge emblezement in pouring the huge fund to their homes. Its pertinent to mention here that that two years ago when Naeem Akhtar was MLC he released 10 lakh rupees for setting up of Blood bank in the hospital so that people will get benefited but the money was not utilised properly giving the tough time to the locals.(KNO)
